It looks like things are finally turning around this month, even if it’s just a little bit compared to the net worth high points a few months ago. I’m not sure if this is the markets fully recovering, or more of a blip like we had last Winter.
July Liquid Net Worth:

Even with my cash balances taking a significant hit, the market was able to pull me back towards the positive side of things. I’m hoping I can reverse the cash trend next month to have an even bigger increase in net worth.
June Total Net Worth:
Nice to see this turn positive again as well, with the continued increase of the home value making this a sizeable increase for July.
So let’s see how far my assets would take me at this point. I will calculate that using my average spending over the last 12 months. I’ll multiply that result by 12 months to get the total spending for the year, and then divide my liquid net worth by that amount. That’s how long I’d be able to live off my savings at that point in time.
$3463 average spending last 12 Months * 12 Months = $41,556 spending in a year
$306,885 net worth / $41,556 spending per year = 7.4 years’ worth of spending
